Why Chevrolet owners choose Diamond Head Motors Ltd

  • Red Seal-certified technicians and a designated Provincial Inspection Facility.
  • Every repair is backed by our 36-month / 60,000 km NAPA warranty, honoured at NAPA AutoCare centres across Canada.
  • Our Oil Change and Service includes a full checkover: we pull the wheels off, measure brake pads and tire tread, and check steering, suspension, driveline, battery and fluids. You get the report by text or email as a digital inspection, with photos.

Silverado, Colorado and Express vans

Chevy trucks and vans in Squamish work for a living, and many of the ones we see are ten years old or more. The common jobs: brake pads and rotors, lower ball joints and other suspension wear, spark plugs, water pumps, and air-conditioning compressors and condensers. Express 2500 and 3500 vans come in for the same work plus commercial inspections. Tell us how the vehicle is used and what it’s carrying when you book.

Leaks, electrical and check-engine lights

Chasing leaks is a bigger part of our Chevrolet work than for any other make: oil, coolant and differential leaks on higher-mileage trucks. We also see more electrical and charging diagnostics on Chevys, including batteries, starters, and power accessories that stop working, along with check-engine and driveability concerns. If you’ve noticed a drip on the driveway, a warning light, or something that’s stopped working, describe it when you book and we’ll diagnose before recommending a repair.

Tires, brakes and alignment

We sell and install summer, winter and all-season tires, do seasonal changeovers on wheels or off, repair flats and replace TPMS sensors. A Silverado used for towing needs a different tire conversation from an Equinox used for commuting, so include the vehicle’s use and current tire size. Brake work (pads, rotors, calipers, fluid) is mostly caught during the Oil Change and Service checkover. We do wheel alignments after suspension work or when tires wear unevenly. Chevrolet questions we hear

Do you service Chevrolet motorhomes or cutaway RVs?

No. We service cars, SUVs and trucks up to the one-tonne / 3500 class, but not RVs.

Do you work on GMC too?

Yes. Sierra, Canyon, Savana and Terrain share most of their parts with their Chevrolet twins. See our GMC page.

My truck has a slow leak. Can you find it?

Yes. Leak diagnosis is one of the most common jobs on the Chevrolets we see. We clean the area, confirm the source, and quote the repair before doing it.

Can you change over tires I already own?

Yes. Tell us whether they’re on their own wheels or need mounting. Customer-supplied tires are fine; they aren’t covered by our warranty.

How often should my Chevy get a checkover?

Twice a year. Spring and fall tire changeovers are the natural time, since the wheels are already off.
